About the Role
Marafi Marine Contracting is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities across ongoing marine construction projects in Abu Dhabi.
The role will provide commercial and cost-management support throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with project, planning, procurement and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with tendering, quantity take-offs, BOQs, estimation and bid preparation.
- Carry out measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Prepare interim payment applications.
- Assist with variations, claims and final accounts.
- Monitor project costs and support cost reporting.
- Review and assess subcontractor quotations and payment applications.
- Support subcontract procurement and commercial comparisons.
- Maintain variation, payment and subcontract registers.
- Assist with contract administration under FIDIC-based contracts.
- Coordinate with project, planning, procurement and finance teams.
- Provide commercial support across multiple marine projects.
Experience & Requirements
- 5–10 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
- Previous experience in marine construction projects is preferred.
- Strong experience in pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.
- Good knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, tendering and cost estimation.
- Experience with valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Understanding of subcontract administration and commercial comparisons.
- Familiarity with FIDIC-based contracts.
- Relevant Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualification.
- Strong analytical, commercial and coordination skills.
