About the Role
Marafi Marine Contracting is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in marine construction and infrastructure projects.
The role will be responsible for project scheduling, Primavera P6 programme development, progress monitoring, resource planning, S-curves, look-ahead programmes, delay analysis, recovery planning, EOT support and coordination with project and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update and maintain project schedules and programmes.
- Prepare and manage detailed planning for marine construction activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.
- Prepare look-ahead programmes, S-curves and progress reports.
- Support resource planning and programme optimization.
- Carry out delay analysis and support recovery planning.
- Assist with claims preparation and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Coordinate planning activities with project, site and multidisciplinary teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors on planning and progress matters.
- Support project reporting and provide planning input across ongoing projects.
Experience & Requirements
- 10–15 years of overall project planning experience.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in marine construction, port development, dredging, reclamation, marine infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
- Good knowledge of MS Project and advanced Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
- Abu Dhabi project experience will be considered an advantage.
- Previous contractor-side planning experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- PMP, PSP or Primavera P6 certification will be considered an advantage.
